We Did It!!!

We have (over) 25 participants. I'm going to keep sign-ups open for a few more days. I'll accept probably another five or so people. Look for your swap partner info in your inbox either Sunday or Monday.

On a side note, my email has been acting wonky so if you get a strange message saying an email to me is undeliverable then try sending it again.

Thanks!

Ravelry Group

FYI, for those of you on Ravelry, I started a "Hand Dyed Yarn Swap" group.

Welcome New Participants

Friday the 13th was a good day for the Hand Dyed Yarn Swap. We had five new people join us. Yay! :-)

Also, I've updated the questionnaire to include your Ravelry username, if you have one.

Buy Some Dye!

Just to let you all know ... I just got a great deal buying some Jacquard Acid Dye from Amazon.com through Paula Burch's All About Hand Dyeing page. It's the best deal i've found on the internet so far even after comparing shipping charges. This is a great dye to use on protein fibers but feel free to use Kool-aid, Wilton's, Gaywool and/or Country Classics for this swap. You don't have to use a specific dye. Just make sure to use sock yarn for this first round and don't forget the vinegar and heat setting. I've updated the links for buying undyed yarn and dyes too so check them out.

Update

I updated the list of participants to include blog links. Please let me know if your link doesn't work. Also, I could use some suggestions for places to buy undyed yarn. So far all I have in that section of links is knitpicks. Has anyone ordered undyed yarn from another vendor that they were happy with? If so, let me know so I can add them to the list.
Thanks,
~Celena

Delay

If you sent me your questionnaire and request to join the swap over the past week, please forgive my delay in getting back to you. I was out of town for most of last week. I'm getting things caught up and you should get a request from blogger sometime today or tomorrow.
Thanks!
